Lakewood Catholic Academy continues to monitor current guidelines from the State of Ohio and the American Academy of Pediatrics to remain open for full-time, in-person instruction.
We have worked hard all summer to prepare for another wonderful year of learning and fun throughout our campus. Part of our preparation also involved making health and safety decisions regarding COVID-19. Last year we made the right decision to open our campus and give families the option of full-time, on-campus learning. This was not a decision that was made lightly, nor was it a decision that was made by a majority of schools. At LCA, we know the value of in-person education, and we continue to be thrilled with the success of last year.
As we enter the 2021-2022 school year, we are again faced with difficult decisions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the emerging variants. As we did last year, our decisions are guided by the best information we have available from a variety of health agencies, hospitals and health care providers, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics, which has emphasized the importance of in-person learning.
