Prophetic Voices

One Voice Can Change the World

In both theology and communications classes, our seventh grade Saints learn about the powerful influence of persuasive rhetoric and the ability for an individual voice to change the world. They research a notable speaker of their choice who has had a significant impact on history, and they learn a portion of one of their public speeches. The students memorize the speech and work on communication skills such as articulation, clarity, inflection, and body language. These seventh grade students then take to the stage and deliver their speeches at the Foster Theatre at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Following this experience, the students embark on a fun-filled scavenger hunt throughout the museum to investigate the power of voice in song and musical lyrics while discovering incredible facts, relics, and memorabilia of the history of rock & roll.
